Carole was born from generational artists, reared in Athens, Alabama and is a graduate of Auburn University. For over eighteen years, she worked from a unique and beautiful studio on the north side of the Courthouse Square in her hometown painting commissions and selling paintings from her gallery. She successfully taught kids, adults, individuals and groups in her fun, demonstrative style.
Now Carole lives and paints in a beautiful downtown flat in Huntsville, Alabama.
Like a great Southern writer, Carole presents her Southernness in a heartwarming passion for bringing-out life on a canvas through her innate ability with color and light, as evidenced in her paintings--most being commissioned portraits of great homes
"that seem to bend under the weight of history or explode outwards with the joy of occupancy," as quoted from a recent article about Carole's signature style.
Carole has also been selected to speak to audiences, one being the
2013 Congressional Art Competition winners at the nation's Capitol in Washington D.C. this past June. She has also been chosen as poster artist for many events over the years including Huntsville's Panoply of the Arts art festival and Liz Hurley's Breast Cancer Run. She is a Southern Living featured artist (October 2008), and has graced the cover of several magazines as well as beautiful specialty billboards from North Alabama to North Carolina, using her own talent in modeling and photography. With her identical twin sister Claire, who is also an artist in Chicago, Carole has hosted students on painting journeys in the Tuscany Region of Italy, in Cortona, where they have returned over the years and have become
"our special visitors and friends from Alabama" to the Italian family they have made.
